Principal's Message
Welcome To Albemarle High School!
It is with great excitement and joy that I introduce myself as
the newly appointed principal of Albemarle High School!
It is truly an honor to join a school community where success is
the only option.
I attended Barber-Scotia College where I earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Recreation Administration/English. In an effort
to pursue a teaching career, I attended The University of North
Carolina at Charlotte where I earned dual teacher certification in

middle school Language Arts (6-8) and high school English (9-12).
I continued my education earning a Bachelor and Master of Arts
degree in Theology from Charlotte Life Christian University. After a
successful teaching career in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, I was
accepted into the School Executive Leadership Academy at Queens
University of Charlotte where I received my K-12 North Carolina
University of Charlotte where I received my K-12 North Carolina
Principal certification. I continued to further my education by attending
Wingate University where I received my Educational Specialist
Degree (Ed. S) and North Carolina Superintendent license. I went on to
Degree (Ed. S) and North Carolina Superintendent license. I went on to
receive my Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed. D) from Wingate
University.
This school year will start my 23 rd year in public education where I have
served as an ISS Assistant, seven years as a middle and high school
English teacher, three years as a Dean of Students, and seven years as
an Assistant Principal both on the middle and high school level.

I am a firm believer that every child can learn at high levels regardless of
their situation or circumstance, and it is my goal to ensure that our scholars
continue to receive a quality education in a safe environment conducive to
learning, where students can learn and teachers can teach. I am committed
to working in partnership with our families, staff, and community to support

I look forward to our first school year together learning and growing with our
amazing students, dedicated staff, supportive parents and community.
